Our oud scented soy candles smell masculine, similar to sandalwood, frankincense, and other musky, sultry notes. Trading in agarwood trees dates back thousands of years, mostly in Eastern Asia and the Middle East. The oldest and most resinous are selected, after they are aged and mossy, and the branches and bark are chipped and soaked for months in water. Then, the water is boiled and through hydro distillation, the oud oil is extracted. Known for its rare and mysterious scents, oud is a sought after ingredient in many of the finest perfumes and worldly fragrances.
